Expedition 33 is a masterpiece
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a fantastic game where Sandfall Interactive said “Heres a bunch of games we like. We glued parts from all of them into this game. Do you like this?” And damn it. I do. I took so long to write this post because I wasn’t sure how to organize my love for this game into words.

Prototype is a game for people who hate NYC
Prototype is a duology that is brutal to NYC citizens. You have a weird murder paramilitary killing the shit out of them. You have a virus killing the shit out of them. You have the personification of the virus (you!) killing the shit out of them in the most insane ways possible, like using them as surfboards on pavement, or eating them for health.

Atelier Yumia is a Video Game
Atelier Yumia is a video game of all time. It’s a weird game to have the Atelier title imo. It has alchemy, it has gathering, the music is good, Yumia is real easy on the eyes. But I struggle to call this an Atelier game.
I remember being pitched on Atelier back when I played the Dusk trilogy: “You know how in RPGs, when your party gets to the chamber before the final boss, theres often somehow a merchant waiting there to sell you potions you need to prevail? Atelier is a series about that merchant”
